Tasty food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. I had the chicken salad on brioche with a side salad. Fresh, light, and refreshing. My wife had the lobster roll,always a favorite,my son ate many of her fries, which are simple, salty, and taste of potato. So many fries are either processed to no flavor, else taste of the oil it was cooked in. My son had the chocolate chip pancakes. It's a big portion, so he was full. Nice coffee and fresh orange juice.

It all starts with ownership. When the owner is welcoming, humble, engaged, and excited; that enthusiasm resonates with the kitchen, the wait staff, and at the bar. Well worth a visit.

Market Taverne quickly became one of my favorite places for lunch and brunch. It has the feeling of a home with outdoor porch seating option in warm weather and excellent menu choices for every palette. I especially like the chicken salad. The bar area is casual and the restaurant is versatile enough to be a great a place to meet a friend or business associate. It’s a great location close to I-287 and south of Morristown with abundance of free parking.

Great place to take family or other big parties for mother's day and other types of events. Very attentive staff. My favorite meal is the shrimp and grits but the Johnny cakes are real good also. Plenty great selections on the kids menu too.

We had an extended stay with the Inn on the Twenty. Our evening servers were great, Patty being a stand out. Food was perfect. We had 2 lactards in our group, and were accommodated nicely without making us feal like freaks. Just the high quality one expects form this pricepoint. We had 3 dinners and a brunch. All were on point. Wine selection was elegant and I got a tasty IPA which isnt common in those neck of the woods.

Great atmosphere and courteous staff. They have a 1 1/2 lb lobster special on Thursday nights for $20. It's delicious!

The ambiance is nice and the food is ok. Wine was mediocre. Nothing special but good for family or corporate events. 4 stars for a small town... 3 absolute

We wanted a restaurant serving good food and not a chain atmosphere with noise. The food and ambiance were excellent - the Taverne salad was delicious and the scallops with risotto superb. Our waiter, Edgar, was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Our guests from Spain enjoyed the interaction with Edgar in Spanish. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Food was amazing!! Waiter was down to earth and friendly, recommended phenomenal bourbon. Treated like regulars even though it was our first time. Definitely will be back.

Great Food & Even Better Service. My wife and I were here for an early morning wedding. We’d never been here before. The place dressed up really nice and it was clear that the bride and groom were given free range to do whatever they wanted. The staff we interacted with were very friendly. The food that was out for brunch was delicious. After eating, everyone spread out. We hung out at the bar with the worlds friendliest bartender. We stayed past the end of the wedding and started making plans to come back on our own.

Pros: for the most part the food is very good. Interesting menu with seasonal items.Cons: service misses the details... No spoon served with soup, no knife to cut meat other than butter knife, no selection of tea, just Lipton.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way home coming down 287 through Morristown area. It's a 5 minute detour off the highway. We got here after the lunch rush and were seated immediately. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The porch is covered so you can enjoy the breeze but not be sitting in direct sunlight. I ordered the smoked salmon panini and my girlfriend had the turkey croissant. We did a little mix and match and traded each other half our sandwich. The flavor of each was excellent in their own different ways. They put an excellent amount of smoked salmon in the panini. All the flavors worked well together. The croissant was light and fluffy and was a great vehicle for the turkey and avocado.

Lobster rolls were delicious appetizer. Wine choices excellent. Enjoyed the entrees - lots of flavor in every bite. Had no room for dessert.

Went for brunch. Meal was above average but not spectacular (I had the Heuvos Rancheros) though the Bourbon Milkshake was delicious. A number of the items also came with a complimentary mimosa which is definitely good value. My biggest complaint food wise is that all the options came with a salad which wasn't clearly advertised and I thought an odd addition to a brunch meal. The service was friendly and attentive. The decore was a bit dark. Probably very suitable for dinner but less so from brunch. There is an outside porch area that I'd like to eat at if I return. Overall a good choice for brunch but nothing to go out of your way for.
